What "lasting 25–30 years" actually means
"Lasting" doesn't mean the panel stops working on its 30th birthday. It means the manufacturer guarantees the panel will still produce at least 80–87% of its original rated output at the end of the warranty period. After that threshold, the panel keeps generating electricity — it just isn't covered if it falls below the floor.
