Helios Energy Global is a Santa Monica-based residential solar installer. We started in 2018 because Southern California homeowners deserved better than the high-pressure sales tactics that defined the industry.
A note from Tim, our founder.
I started Helios in 2018 because I'd watched too many of my neighbors get burned by solar companies that prioritized closing the deal over designing the right system. Inflated production estimates. Hidden financing markups. "Free solar" pitches that left homeowners stuck in 25-year contracts they didn't understand.
We do things differently. Every quote we send shows every line item — panels, inverter, labor, permitting, monitoring. Every design I personally review before it goes to the client. Every install gets premium equipment, no exceptions. And when NEM 3.0 changed the math on California solar, we rebuilt our model from scratch so we'd always be telling people the truth about what their system would actually save.
