Programs are real, but they're funded in cycles and the amounts move. Here's the honest map, and we check your address's active rebates as part of every quote.
One rule before the list: rebate programs change constantly. Funding cycles open, fill, and pause; amounts and eligible hardware shift between cycles. So this page names the programs and tells you how each utility thinks — but for any specific dollar figure, verify the current amount on the utility's own page, or let us do it. LADWP
Charge Up L.A.! home charger rebate; panel-upgrade support has been offered in some cycles
LADWP has run one of the more generous home charger rebates in the state — typically covering a networked Level 2 charger and, in some cycles, part of the dedicated circuit or panel work. Funding comes in waves and terms shift between them, so verify the current amount and requirements on LADWP's program page before you count on a number.
SCE
Charge Ready Home; TOU-D-PRIME EV rate plan
SCE's residential charging support has centered on the Charge Ready Home program and — just as valuable over time — the TOU-D-PRIME rate, which prices overnight charging low in exchange for a steep 4–9 PM peak. The rate plan isn't a rebate, but for many drivers it's worth more than one. Program funding and eligibility change; verify what's active for your address.
SDG&E
EV time-of-use rates; periodic charger and panel-upgrade offerings
SDG&E has historically leaned on EV-specific time-of-use rates, with charger and infrastructure offerings appearing periodically. If you're in SDG&E territory, the rate-plan decision usually matters more than any one-time rebate — and we model it as part of the quote.
Municipal utilities (GWP, PWP, APU, RPU and others)
Utility-run home charger rebates, often quietly generous
Glendale Water & Power, Pasadena Water & Power, Anaheim Public Utilities, Riverside Public Utilities, and the other SoCal munis frequently run their own charger rebates — and because they're small programs with little marketing, they go under-claimed. If a muni bills you, it is genuinely worth checking their site (or letting us check) before you install.

The federal 30C credit — the honest version.
The federal Alternative Fuel Vehicle Refueling Property Credit (Section 30C) covered a portion of home charger installation costs through 2025 — but only for homes located in eligible census tracts, a detail plenty of marketing pages skipped. Whether any of it applies to an installation today depends on current federal law, your address, and your tax situation. Our position: verify it with a tax professional rather than assume it, and be suspicious of any installer who bakes an unverified federal credit into a quote. We don't.
And for public, workplace, or multifamily charging, California's CALeVIP program funds infrastructure in participating regions — a different animal from home rebates, but worth knowing if you manage property.
