Referral Program Terms

Effective October 2026. Helios Energy Global, CSLB #982201.

1. The program

The Helios referral program (“Give $1,000, Get $1,000”) lets a referral partner (“you”) share a personal referral code. When a new customer (the “referee”) uses your code and completes a qualifying installation with Helios Energy Global (“Helios”), the referee receives a $1,000 discount and you receive a $1,000 reward. Participation is free.

2. Who can participate

Any Helios customer with a completed or signed project automatically has a referral code. Other California residents may create an account; Helios reviews and may approve those accounts at its discretion. Helios employees, sales representatives and their immediate households are not eligible for rewards on projects they are compensated for in any other way.

3. The referee discount

The $1,000 discount is applied to the written all-in price Helios quotes the referee for a new residential solar, solar-plus-battery or battery-only installation. The code (or your share link) must be used on the Helios quote request, or given to Helios before the referee signs their agreement. One referral discount per project; it cannot be combined with another Helios referral discount, and it does not apply to repair, maintenance, cleaning, EV-charger-only, roofing-only or removal-and-reinstall work.

4. The partner reward

A $1,000 reward is earned when the referee’s system is installed and Helios approves the referral. Helios pays rewards through Stripe to the bank account you connect in the portal. Before Stripe can pay you, you complete Stripe’s onboarding, which collects the information on IRS Form W-9 (legal name, address and taxpayer identification number) and your bank details. Helios does not store that information. If a referred project is cancelled, refunded or not installed, no reward is paid; if a reward was paid on a project later cancelled before final payment, Helios may offset it against future rewards.

5. Taxes

Rewards may be taxable income to you. Stripe issues IRS Form 1099 when required by law. Consult your tax advisor.

6. Rules

You may not refer yourself, a member of your own household, or a project you have an ownership interest in. You may share your code with people you know by text, email, social media or word of mouth. You may not run paid advertising on Helios’s name, present yourself as a Helios employee or representative, make claims about pricing, savings, incentives or equipment on Helios’s behalf, or send unsolicited bulk messages. Helios may void referrals and suspend accounts that break these rules.

7. Leaderboard and profile

The public leaderboard shows your first name, last initial, number of installed referrals and, if you choose, a photo and a short slogan after Helios reviews them. You can hide yourself from the leaderboard at any time in your profile. Helios may remove photos or slogans it considers inappropriate.

8. Missed referrals

If a referee forgot to use your code, contact Helios before the referee’s agreement is signed and we will add the referral when our records support it. Referrals cannot be added after installation.

9. Changes

Helios may change or end the program at any time. Referrals already recorded when a change takes effect are honored under the terms in place when they were recorded. California law applies.
