We install across both — six verified jobs in LA at last count, from Valley neighborhoods to the Hollywood Hills — and the utility line changes the design more than the roof does.
The array shown here is a Valley install: all-black modules worked around a brick chimney and skylights on a classic LA composition roof. The storage build is from the Hills — two Tesla Powerwalls on an exterior wall, photographed mid-install, sized for a home where an outage means a very long staircase in the dark.
On LADWP, solar-only still pencils beautifully — exported power earns close to retail, and a battery is optional rather than essential. On SCE, the battery does the heavy lifting.
